The hot potato is a game known to all, which will ask questions and when you guess right, go past the potatoes (a balloon that fills with hot air) until one lets it explode.
Well, there are people who stay on the potato as long as you can, swells till you drop, the leaves when you only have half a second and of course you explodes. So just like you and the rest, you blamed for breaking the potatoes.
